Passes for Week 1 of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival sold out recently, taking nearly a month after its initial release. However, the world-famous music festival boasts a strong list of headliners and supporting acts to whet the appetites of music aficionados everywhere. The exciting set of diverse Asian acts from across the spectrum are sure to introduce audiences to something new. From K-pop, J-pop, and more, 2024 is a promising year for long time fans and newcomers. After last year’s appearance of ADOR’s NewJeans at Lollapalooza, LE SSERAFIM of sister label Source Music will be making their long-awaited debut on a U.S. music festival stage. As for Korean boy groups, KQ Entertainment’s ATEEZ and Korean rock band, The Rose, will also be making a Coachella appearance.
YOASOBI, Vocaloid Hatsune Miku—who was originally announced for Coachella 2020—and Atarashii Gakko will be the ones to lead the helm on the J-pop side. South Korean DJ, Peggy Gou, as well as R&B singers Jhené Aiko and thuy, are sure to be an exciting change of pace amongst the pop acts. Music label, 88Rising, will be making their return with “88rising Futures” on Day 3. Considering their stage has been famous for previously launching the return of 2NE1 as well as Hikaru Utada, all eyes will be on their set for who they’ll bring this year.
