South Korean indie / alt-rock band The Volunteers (더 발룬티어스) are slated to perform at 26 venues across the USA and Canada on their North American tour this summer. With the recent departure of their bassist, the band currently consists of Yerin Baek (vocal and guitar), Jonny (guitar), and Chiheon Kim (drums). With Baek’s stellar vocals and influences from shoegaze, psych-rock, and grunge, the band has drawn a dedicated following and earned several nominations at the Korean Music Awards. Their latest release “NewPlant” is a 2-track single released in 2022.
