BABYMETAL is performing 16 shows in the U.S. this winter on their 2024 World Tour before heading to Australia for Knotfest and Europe and the UK for their 2025 tour.
Formed as a subunit of the Japanese school-themed idol group Sakura Gakuin, BABYMETAL pioneered the “kawaii metal” genre when the group debuted in 2010, blending Japanese idol pop and heavy metal in an unexpected yet captivating fashion. The three-piece band’s popularity soared rapidly, not only embarking on their first world tour in 2014, but also opening for legendary acts like Lady Gaga, Guns N’ Roses, Slipknot, and Metallica. They’ve gone on to perform internationally at festivals and multiple world tours and are the first Asian act to get to the top of the Billboard Top Rock Albums.
Their long roster of collaborators include Electric Callboy and Polyphia, both guest artists in the 2024 FOX_FEST, as well as Korn, Dragonforce, Rob Halford (of Judas Priest), and Bring Me the Horizon.
