JO1 Brings ‘JO1DER SHOW 2025: WHEREVER WE ARE’ Tour Stateside

January 14, 2025

Japanese boy group JO1 will be setting off on their first U.S. tour this March. Aside from their previous appearances at events such as KCON LA, this will be the group’s first time holding solo shows in North America. The short U.S. leg of the world tour includes stops in Los Angeles and New York.

JO1 was first formed through Produce 101 Japan, a competition survival show designed for the public to choose their top eleven trainees to debut. Despite many other iterations of the Produce competition shows, JO1 was the first to debut as a permanent group. After the show first aired in 2019, the 11 members made their official debut in 2020 with “Protostar,” which was met with immediate success. The single debuted at number one on the Oricon Singles Chart, and another song from the same single album also debuted on the Billboard Japan Hot 100.

Since then, the boy group has seen continued commercial success, performing at various festivals and participating in several anime OSTs. They won many awards in their debut years, such as a Rising Star Award from the MTV VMAs Japan and Best Asian Artist at MAMA Awards. The group’s first concert attracted over 45,000 attendees. Most recently, JO1 released their second triple platinum single, “Where Do We Go,” in October 2024.
