Ash Island has announced his first-ever world tour, Voice Memo: Black Rose, that will find the emo-rapper visiting parts of Asia and North America. The upcoming tour is to promote his two most recent studio albums, Voice Memo which was released in March of this year and Rose which was released in May 2023.
Born Yoon Jin Young, he first broke through in 2018 as a contestant on the rap survival program, High School Rapper 2, where he performed under the moniker Clloud. He would eventually finish in fourth place. He then signed with Ambition Musik, a sub-label of Dok2 and The Quiett’s Illionaire Records in the summer of 2018, changed his stage name from Clloud to Ash Island, and soon after released his first single, “How R U.”
