While ATEEZ is no stranger to performing in the Bay Area, the seven-member group traveled to San Jose for the first time for their 2025 world tour, In Your Fantasy. With dramatic flair, the members made their grand entrance in bold black and red outfits. Making a strong first impression, the group packed a punch with their wildly energetic opening songs. Kicking off the show with “Bouncy,” they immediately had the packed venue bouncing and singing along. Every time the chorus hit, fans erupted in cheers at the “killing point,” a fluid sequence of body rolls, while leaning back further with each beat. Moving onto the thrust stage, the group got closer to the audience for “Fireworks” to showcase a flurry of rapid footwork, kicks, and jumps. Their energy surged when they became surrounded by bursts of flames coming from the stage.

Delivering one of the most memorable moments of the night early in the show, ATEEZ performed the prop-heavy “Blind.” In tune with the Latin-inspired sound of the song, the members and background dancers performed while creatively using red cloths in different ways to spotlight each member delivering their lines. Despite the intense demands of the performance, the members couldn’t help but break into smiles now and then as they caught the crowd’s enthusiastic reactions.
During their solo performances, each member showcased their own individual styles like Yunho’s sharp yet slick “Slide to Me,” Yeosang’s graceful and powerful “Legacy,” Wooyoung’s smooth and silky “Sagittarius,” Jongho’s emotionally charged “To Be Your Light,” San’s sultry “Creep,” Hongjoong’s ready-for-the-club “No 1,” and Mingi’s swagger-filled “Autobahn/Roar.” Of note, Seonghwa’s sensual performance of “Skin,” while clad in a snakeskin print jacket, led to a picture perfect moment that encapsulated the intense and alluring tone and meaning of the song. As Seonghwa stepped forward, the background dancers slowly peeled the jacket off from his outstretched arms behind him. The tension of the moment and the fabric clinging to his skin made Seonghwa’s drop to the floor and dramatic return to singing and dancing all the more impactful.
In ATEEZ’s “off” moments when they’re chatting with the audience, you can see the gap between their offstage and onstage personas. Moments ago, San was boldly performing the suggestive moves of “Creep,” which involves bodyrolling while creeping his hand down from his chest to his crotch. But now that bright lights are turned up, the members are all reluctant to perform their own rendition, shyly turning away before getting to the risque part. Yet in a blink, it was time to get back to the performances, and the look in their eyes changed.

In the deceptively chill “Shaboom,” the groovy reggae verses and relaxed choreography made it seem like the performance would continue that way until the background dancers lifted Mingi up on his back in the air and spun him around before placing him back down for the group to come together and hit the synthy trap-style chorus with hard-hitting choreography. It was a standout performance for showcasing ATEEZ’s duality, going from laidback to energetic while keeping the audience engaged all throughout.
To complement all the flexing that ATEEZ was doing in “Work” and “Ice on my Teeth,” the live band really dialed up the energy with their dynamic playing. As the group struck a fierce pose and their intense gazes locked on the crowd, the band exploded, shredding through the powerful ending. Bringing things around to the song the tour’s named after, “In Your Fantasy,” ATEEZ returned to a more polished and synchronized style of performing for the pop track. Flanked by background dancers and production effects, they took up the whole stage, giving the audience a lot to take in.
Heading toward seven years together, ATEEZ proved their fighting spirit and love for the stage are stronger than ever. Winding down the show, the group spread out across the main and thrust stage to simply sing and gaze into the audience. They ran through a medley of song snippets to make sure they performed a little bit of all the songs that fans may have been hoping to hear, while treating the crowd to heaps of fan service. The night came to an end with a short encore of “The Real,” loads of confetti, and a deep bow from ATEEZ.
