Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas (フィアー・アンド・ロージング・イン・ラスベガス) is an eletronicore band from Kobe, Japan, and they’re heading stateside for the first time this year. The band will make their U.S. festival debut on October 3 at the AFTER SHOCK FESTIVAL in Sacramento, CA, and then they will travel south to Southern California to host their own show at The Glass House in Pomona on October 4.
The band first formed in 2008 as a combination of members from the bands Blank Time and Ending for a Start. They promoted as five members for roughly a year, and in 2009, they found their sixth member in a former member of Bombreligion. Since then, the band has continued to release music together for nearly two decades, creating songs for Pro Evolution Soccer 2012, Hunter x Hunter reboot anime, and more.
Unfortunately, in 2019, bassist Kei passed away from heart failure, and the band took a brief hiatus. A few months after his passing, the band held a tribute concert for Kei, and shortly after that, they added band member Testuya as a new bassist. In December of that same year, they released their sixth studio album, Hypertoughness. Most recently, Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas released the digital single “Overwrite” in April of this year.
