A year after their first official world tour, ITZY will be coming back to the U.S. as part of their second world tour, BORN TO BE. The tour will begin in Seoul in February, and will bring the girl group to Thailand, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Mexico, Chile, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Japan, Canada, Taiwan, Philippines, China, and the U.S. through August. The North American leg of the tour will take place in June, and will start in Seattle before moving east to Chicago and wrapping up in Toronto. Lia will not be participating in the tour due to her ongoing hiatus.
ITZY was breaking records as soon as they debuted with their hit song, “Dalla Dalla” in February 2019, earning them several titles at the time, and rookie awards at the year end award shows. Their success led them to quickly head out on their first showcase tour in the U.S. in January 2020, and since then, the group has returned stateside for performances at their Checkmate world tour, 88rising’s Head in the Clouds, and KCON LA.
The BORN TO BE tour announcement follows the release of ITZY’s latest mini album of the same name. The album features several tracks such as solo songs by each member, including Lia, although Lia did not participate in the recording of the group songs on the EP. The mini album is paired with seven different music videos, with the most recently released video for “Untouchable,” reaching over 12 million views at time of press.
