TREASURE has announced their first U.S. tour, titled [SPECIAL MOMENT]. Kicking off at the beginning of April in New York, the four-stop tour will move west to finish off in Los Angeles a week later.
While TREASURE debuted in 2020, they first stepped into the public eye in 2018 through the competition show, YG Treasure Box. The show introduced 29 trainees, of which at least five would be chosen to debut. At the time, the company intended to debut two separate groups, although those two eventually merged and became the TREASURE fans know today. In January 2020, the group was re-introduced to the world with debut teasers, performance videos, and more, and in August of the same year, the boy group debuted with their first single album, The First Step: Chapter One.
Since then, the group has continued to release chart-topping, award-winning music, including a song on the soundtrack for anime series Black Clover, the widely popular “Jikin (직진)” that won the group their first music show win, and “Darari (다라리),” which went viral on TikTok for a fan-made choreography. Most recently, the group released digital single “King Kong” in May 2024, and “Last Night” in December 2024.
The member lineup currently consists of newly appointed leaders Junkyu and Asahi, former leaders Choi Hyun-suk and Jihoon, and members Yoshi, Yoon Jae-hyuk, Doyoung, Haruto, Park Jeong-woo, and So Jung-hwan.
