Following a landmark 2025 marked by their 10th anniversary and the release of their Billboard chart-topping fourth full-length album, TWICE continues to pursue new endeavors. This time the K-pop girl group is treating North American audiences to performances on a 360° stage on the THIS IS FOR world tour. On January 17 and 18, TWICE touched down in Oakland to perform a two-night show at the Oakland Arena. While one of the nine members, Dahyun, suffered an ankle injury, she still participated onstage, singing and lightly performing the hand choreography while seated on a stool.

On Day 1, the show opened with the bass-thumping introduction, “Four,” blasting through the venue as the stage lit up to reveal its full scale. The 360° stage featured a center stage with multiple moving platforms that extended into two catwalks and two small stages on either side. Fans, known as ONCE, erupted in thunderous cheers when TWICE appeared on the center stage to kick off with the encouraging “This is For” and flirty “Strategy.”
TWICE is a performance-heavy group that places great emphasis on choreography, and re-creating the group’s choreography for a 360° stage seemed like no simple feat. Yet, the team nailed it as TWICE and their supporting dancers made effective use of all the space, frequently pivoting to direct their attention to different areas of the venue. This does mean there were moments when the group wasn’t facing your direction, momentarily pulling you out of the performance. Fortunately, a massive four-sided LED screen was hanging above the center stage, offering a clear view of what you’re missing live; it’s a consolation, but a pretty good one nonetheless. The group closed off the first set of songs with the propulsive and synth-driven “I Can’t Stop Me” and a burst of red streamers into the eager crowd.

Throughout the concert, TWICE expertly executed different formations for performances giving them new sparkle for the 360° stage. For “The Feels,” each member stood at various parts of the stage framed by supporting dancers to perform their individual lines, dispersing focus to different areas of the stage. They all eventually came together, but as two separate groups facing opposite sides to perform the energetic chorus. Meanwhile, the platforms were used to add dynamic motion to songs that didn’t have choreography like “Mars” with its vocally impressive two-part chorus and the intense “Takedown” from the mega popular hit film, K-Pop Demon Hunters.

One formation that utilized the full length of both catwalks was “Right Hand Girl,” which had TWICE and supporting dancers performing energetic hip movements in one long line. The expansive stage truly shone during the solo performances, which flowed seamlessly from one to the next, with each member appearing on a different stage with a new individual sound and setup, like Tzuyu’s metal pole structure for “Dive In” and Dahyun’s embellished piano for “Chess,” to showcase the diversity of the member’s styles.

The polished show steadily moved through all the dynamic performances with precision. One of the charms of the show was the concert version instrumentals of the songs, and credit is owed to the four-piece live band, playing on the floor and off to the side of center stage. The band particularly amped up the edgy sound for tracks like the tense and emotionally-charged “Gone” and the dark and sensual “Hell in Heaven.”
The final act spotlighted TWICE’s classics, lifting the energy in the venue with a string of the group’s most cheerful hits: “Fancy,” “What is Love,” “Yes or Yes” and “Dance the Night Away.” These performances featured iconic choreography that had the enthusiastic crowd effortlessly following along, a testament to how beloved these songs are.
Winding down to the close of the show, TWICE roamed across the expansive stage to sing “Scientist” and the fan-requested “Feel Special,” while interacting with the audience. The fast-paced show didn’t leave much room for chatting during the show, so the members took the opportunity to really take in the fans during these final moments. Throughout the show, TWICE would say “This is for ONCE,” prompting the crowd to respond, “This is for TWICE.” By the end of the night, the sentiment felt undeniably true.
