EVERGLOW Completes Ten-Stop ‘All My Girls’ U.S. Tour in Los Angeles

November 29, 2023

Finally making their way to Southern California for a full show, EVERGLOW performed to a crowd full of fans, known as FOREVER, the night before Thanksgiving. Wrapping up their first LA show at The Wiltern, the group showed passion and grit as they powered through the tenth and final stop of their All My Girls U.S. tour. Despite getting emotional, losing energy, bursting into coughing fits at times, and even having a member, Aisha, perform with a cast on her arm, the six members still had their sights set on putting on a show for their fans.

The concert started off at 7:30pm on the dot, with no video introduction or warning. The EVERGLOW music welcoming fans into the venue through the speakers quickly turned up in volume and the lights turned low, as six silhouettes suddenly appeared on the quaint stage. The best thing about The Wiltern as a venue is that, although not the smallest in size, it creates an intimate environment while offering a clear view throughout the theater.

FOREVER throughout the venue cheered and chanted as the lights turned back on and the beginning notes of “FIRST” could be heard, and shortly after, the glowing faces of EVERGLOW could be seen as well. The group performed impressive dances to their latest title song, “SLAY,” and “PLAYER,” before pausing the music to greet their fans properly. Sihyeon then requested a crowd cheer check from their fans, asking everyone to scream as loud as they could. The energy soared as FOREVER responded to her request, setting the tone for the rest of the show as the fans’ cheers drowned out the girls’ voices.

The evening continued on as EVERGLOW performed several B-side tracks such as “DON’T ASK DON’T TELL” and “UNTOUCHABLE,” along with their popular title tracks such as “Pirate” and “DUN DUN.” The group also made sure to showcase their individual charms, as each member aside from Aisha prepared a solo or unit performance alongside their EVERGLOW songs. Sihyeon showed off her vocals with her rendition of Beyoncé’s “Love On Top,” Mia performed a sultry and edgy cover of Stela Cole’s “I Shot Cupid,” Onda, E:U, and Yiren prepared a girl crush style choreography to Dua Lipa’s “Physical,” and the group gathered on stage together again for joint dance cover performances of NewJeans’ “Super Shy,” (G)I-DLE’s “Queencard,” SEVENTEEN’s “Super,” and BLACKPINK’s “BOOMBAYAH.” Aside from showing their charms through performances, fan service was also aplenty as each member threw hearts and posed for their fans. During the encore, the group even accepted plushies and headbands, and tossed signed balls into the audience.

While all of the group’s efforts were there to create a memorable evening for themselves and their fans, some of the execution fell short. Whether it was due to technical difficulties or the group becoming overextended from the many stops on the tour, there was a tiredness that permeated the show that was reflected in their visages and vocals, as each ensemble performance was paired with heavy backing tracks. Even during slower, vocal-centric songs such as “Hush,” the backing track significantly overpowered any live vocals, taking away from the group’s stage presence and live performances. In line with that, the EVERGLOW members also took frequent breaks from performing to interact and speak with fans, but namely to catch their breathes. While completely understandable that the group had begun to wear down due to the long and rigorous tour, it was simply a little unfortunate that fans that attending this last stop did not see the same amount of energy from the group as fans at the first few stops would have. Regardless, FOREVERs’ love was undeterred, as they only chanted, cheered, and sang even louder — especially during songs like “LA DI DA” — to make up for the missing energy.

Even despite the slight bumps in the road, the show provided countless memories for EVERGLOW and FOREVER. As members such as Onda became emotional during their final talk segment, the group’s humbleness could be seen clearly as they tried to wrap their minds around the outpouring of support they received throughout the night. Thanking their fans for waiting for them, and for being a part of their life journeys, the group wrapped up the show with overflowing gratitude and love for FOREVER.
