Singer, songwriter, and actress Violette Wautier will be embarking on her first U.S. tour this April. Titled She’s So Dramatic, the tour features seven cities across North America, beginning in Seattle, Washington and wrapping up in Vancouver, Canada.
Wautier first gained public attention in 2013 when she joined The Voice Thailand. Auditioning with “Leaving on a Jet Plane” by John Denver, the then-19 year old earned a four-chair turn from all the judges. Although she only made it past two rounds, her name had become known enough for her to begin taking part in different acting and singing projects.
In 2015, she starred in Heart Attack and A Gift, earning her the Suphannahong Award for Best Supporting Actress. In 2018, the singer released her first ever English single, “Drive,” and her second English single, “Smoke.” The latter was a record-breaking project for Wautier, becoming the most viewed English song by a Thai artist on YouTube and ranking number one in eight different countries.
In 2022, Wautier became one of Thailand’s Top 5 Female Artists on Spotify Wrapped, after the success of her second album, Your Girl. Most recently, the singer released “Favorite Mistake” in August of last year. She also released her “CALL ME DRAMATIC” EP last year, which features seven songs, each based on a different film genre.
