Shoegaze band, Dream, Ivory, will perform at Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, Georgia on May 3, 2025 as part of their Dream, Ivory Live 2025 Tour. They will serve as the opening act for British alt-rock group, Boa. Dream, Ivory is comprised of Filipino brothers, Christian and Louie Baello. The duo originally formed as a hip-hop project but the brothers’ heavy use of dissonant and distorted guitars eventually led to the signature “wall of noise” sound that they are currently known for.
In addition to promoting their latest releases, “At Zero” and “Solar Eclipse,” the Dream, Ivory Live 2025 Tour will showcase unreleased songs from their upcoming full-length album, When You Come Back I Have So Much To Tell You. Along with shoegaze and dream pop elements, the forthcoming album will introduce a different side of Dream, Ivory including hip-hop drums, pop-punk basslines and vocals from Christian.
Dream, Ivory’s musical journey began after the brothers were enrolled in piano lessons by their parents. They moved on to posting guitar covers on Youtube. In 2016, Dream, Ivory self-released their self-titled debut, Dream, Ivory. Utilizing free distribution channels like Bandcamp and SoundCloud, they established a devoted cult-following. In 2024, their song, “welcome and goodbye” achieved RIAA Gold certification for surpassing 500,000 units sold.
