BTS Army is rejoicing across the world as the beloved K-pop group has announced their 2026-2027 tour, ARIRANG. The worldwide tour will span Asia, Europe, and the Americas, with more stops planned to be revealed soon in the Middle East. Their 10-city U.S. shows will occur in April, May, August, and September. It’s no wonder why fans are in a frenzy, as this will be the first time all seven members will be performing together now that each of them have served their mandatory military or social service requirements in South Korea.
The term “Arirang” refers to a traditional Korean folk song with themes of cultural identity and resistance, popularized during the Japanese occupation of Korea in the early 20th century. BTS has never shied away from approaching their lyrics with a political angle, often representing the challenges and resilience of the youth in their poppy hits, hip-hop beats, and soulful ballads alike. Their upcoming fifth album, Arirang, will drop in March of 2026 right before the tour kicks off. From an official post by label BIGHIT MUSIC, the 14-track album is the group’s “heartfelt way of saying thank you to ARMY, who have been there this whole time.” The highly enthusiastic reception of the tour announcement so far signals the return of BTS world domination for the rest of the year and beyond.
