On December 19, K-pop soloist Wonho wrapped up a successful U.S. fanmeeting tour in Los Angeles. Despite the fanmeeting taking place on a weekday evening, the singer easily sold out The Regent Theater, and the quaint venue was filled to the brim with his fans, known as Wenees.Â
The show began at 8pm on the dot with a sensual performance of “Open Mind.” Confidently strutting onstage in red pants and a matching red jacket — with no shirt underneath — Wonho launched straight into the music and body rolls. Continuing the momentum with the catchy, upbeat songs, he performed “Ain’t About You, and he took a moment to introduce himself to his passionate crowd of fans. After his self introduction, it was time to introduce one more thing — his latest single, “What Would You Do.” After an energetic performance of the song, the singer headed straight into one of the most highly anticipated performances of the night — the dance challenge medley. Known for his fit physique, Wonho shook his hips, pumped his chest, and gyrated across the stage dancing to popular songs like aespa’s Karina’s “Up,” Taemin’s “Guilty,” VIVIZ’s “Maniac,” KISS OF LIFE’s “Sticky,” JENNIE’s “Mantra,” and more, much to his fans’ delight.
Taking a quick pause from the sexiness, the singer retreated backstage for a break while a video of his extensive tour prep played on the screen. Having only shown his sensual side thus far, he returned with “Come Over Tonight” and showed off his cute side. The soloist was full of aegyo, pouting, making cute poses and faces, and flirting with the crowd. “Did you like the sweet version of Wonho? If you want it, I can be it,” he said with a wink. Less intentionally, the singer also showed off his natural cuteness during his interactions with fans. Trying his best to speak English, he struggled a lot with the word “shore” when describing his previous visits to Los Angeles. “I saw so many beautiful shores,” he said. Upon seeing everyone in the crowd’s confusion, he tried once more to say shore, before finally stopping and spelling the word out and advising the crowd to learn some English with a giggle.Â

As the show neared its end, Wonho performed “With You” and “Lose,” singing and executing his hard-hitting choreography with ease. Coming back onstage in a tour shirt for an encore, Wonho started from the beginning by performing his first solo single, “Losing You.” Having given fans a glimpse at his sexy side and his cute side so far, this was the moment he introduced his sentimental side to the crowd. As he sang the lyrics conveying his deep love for Wenee, he gazed into the crowd with sparkles in his eyes. The singer thanked everyone sincerely for their support and for being there with him on his first tour. Lightening up the mood again, he performed “Crazy,” “Somebody,” and “Open Mind” once more. As fans in the crowd teared up, he smoldered and immediately urged them not to cry with a silly “queen never cry,” referring to the popular TikTok meme.Â
Wonho finished off the show with one final song, which was the best of the night. “Weneed” perfectly exemplified why Wonho needs Wenee, and Wenee needs Wonho. The venue’s disco ball turned on for this performance, and the shining lights added a unique effect to the meaningful song.
On top of that, fans prepared a special project; each holding up a silver star to show the singer that he is their star. As if the stars had aligned that night, the venue, the fan project, and the singer all contributed to making this the most memorable performance as everyone became emotional seeing the lights reflect off the silver stars to light up Wonho’s face. In what looked like an “I made it moment,” the artist’s face lit up in fondness, awe, and true happiness as he finished the song. Despite many knowing him for his sultriness and his fit body, this last segment highlighted his vocal talent, as he clearly expressed his emotions through his singing.
Holding back the tears, Wonho wrapped up the show with some final words: “Thank you for being here tonight, Wenee. Thank you for supporting me and singing along with me, so I can stand here as a singer. Thanks to all of you, I can open my eyes every morning without being tired. There are some days when I worry about tomorrow before I fall asleep, but being with you all tonight, I know that won’t happen today. I hope tonight will also give you strength for tomorrow, and that today becomes a beautiful memory for you. I hope you can smile when you think of today.”Â
