Japanese hard-rock band BAND-MAID will return to North America for Band-Maid World Tour 2026. During the tour, BAND-MAID will promote their recently released single, “ENERGETIC,” and their upcoming single, “SPIN.” The tour will mark their first stateside appearance since their 10th Anniversary 2023 North American Tour.
Band-Maid formed in Tokyo in 2013 when guitarist and singer Miku Kobato, who had previously worked at a maid cafe, pitched the concept of an aggressive all-female rock band performing in maid outfits to her company, a stark contrast that appealed to both Kobato and the band’s management. Kobato would recruit guitarist Kanami Tono who then recruited drummer Akane Hirose who then recruited bassist Misa. The group held an open audition to secure their final addition, vocalist Saiki Atsumi.
Since their formation, BAND-MAID has produced a prolific body of work including nine studio albums and two greatest hits compilations. Most recently, they have ventured into anime scoring, having produced three anime theme songs in 2025 alone.
BAND-MAID live performances adhere to the Japanese maid cafe experience, complete with “omajinai” segments where the members shift from their rock personas to their maid alter-egos. During “moe moe kyun,” the members and the audience exchange heart gestures and similar expressions as well.
With the band recently announcing a 2027 hiatus to rest and recover, BAND-MAID’s 2026 tour is a must-see before the band takes a year-long break from the stage. Ticket information for BAND-MAID World Tour 2026 can be found here:
