Wrapping up their first ever U.S. tour, J-pop boy group Psychic Fever performed an unforgettable show in Los Angeles. Taking place on Valentine’s Day, the LA show attracted an enthusiastic crowd that filled up both the floor level and the often unused balcony.
The dimming lights marked the beginning of the show, and fans cheered in anticipation. Donning red and black leather jackets emblazoned with the group’s name — and with TSURUGI wearing his signature cowboy hat, of course — the group slowly strutted on stage, struck a quick pose, and got straight into the music.
Kicking up the energy, Psychic Fever began with “TALK TO ME NICE,” much to the crowd’s delight. Keeping the momentum, the group followed with “RICH & BAD,” and “HABANERO,” before slowing things down just a bit for “Bitter Sweet.” With it also being Valentine’s Day, this song and the pink hued lighting felt all the more fitting, and fans and enjoyed the softer song, swaying side to side. Surprising the audience in the middle of the song, the members suddenly performed their most popular track, “Just Like Dat.” The song was welcomed with thunderous cheering, which grew when the group introduced special guest, JP THE WAVY, to perform his feature and one more song.

Most of the tracks previously performed had cool concepts, showing off the group’s swagger, but they started to take things in a different direction for the next pair of songs, showcasing their sultriness and vocal prowess. “Temperature” and “Cold Rain” were less focused on choreography, and instead highlighted the members’ versatility, focusing on this slower, mellowed out vibe without losing out on any of the group’s boisterous stage presence.
Designed to spotlight each member’s individual talent, the next segment consisted of various unit stages. “Rocket (Take You Higher)” and “SH♡TGUN” kept things slow for the beginning, before the members switched things up and went into their higher energy performances once more with “Perfect,” “Highlights,” and then finally “Psyfe Cypher.” “Psyfe Cypher” in particular impressed the crowd, displaying the group’s rappers and their unique rap flows and vocal tones. Everyone in the audience was on their feet, body rolling, jumping, and soaking in the performance.
The members returned to the stage in sleek velvet suits, and this next set of songs demonstrated the group’s vocal skills and romantic appeal with a jazzy vibe. Throwing a bouquet of roses into the crowd to a lucky fan, Psychic Fever performed their January 2025 release, “Paradise,” followed by “Love Fire” and “Hotline.” While the previous rap-centric stages focused on highlighting rappers TSURUGI, RYOGA, JIMMY, and RYUSHIN, this set put the focus more on vocalists REN, KOKORO, and WEESA. “Best For You” began with an acapella run that thrilled the crowd; although the group is best known for their hip hop music and explosive stage energy, just this one song alone was enough to remind everyone they have strong vocalists in their team as well.

After “Best For You,” it was time for the last song of the show prior to the encore, which also happened to be the performance that kicked off the most energetic and memorable part of the concert. Rounding out their pre-encore setlist with “BEE-PO” was a great choice — rather than putting their focus on synchronizing their choreography, Psychic Fever spent the song at the edge of the stage, enjoying the moment and basking in the love and energy pouring out from the crowd. Everyone in the audience was on their feet jumping around and singing in joy, and both fans and the group had bright smiles on their faces. It was the last burst of happiness before a show comes to an end, and it left everyone chanting for an encore with fervor.
The group’s return to stage for the encore began with a unique showcase of talent from the members — REN kicked things off with his beatboxing, and RYOGA finished off with a DJ set. Then, the remaining five members also returned to stage to each express their gratitude and love for their fans. Bringing the night to a close, the seven members performed “BAKU BAKU,” which featured both the group and fans waving handkerchiefs in the air together, and another performance of “Just Like Dat” before giving their final bows and bidding farewell to the crowd.
With a comprehensive setlist that highlighted each aspect of the group’s talent — the rapping, the vocals, the synchronized dancing, the beatboxing, and the DJing — the Japanese group’s first U.S. tour officially reached its end with an energetic final stop. Although the show was over, the memories and happy moments between Psychic Fever and their fans would surely last forever.
