Japanese indie band, Lamp, set off on their North American tour at the beginning of October in Mexico. Formed 25 years ago, the band’s three members Yusuke Nagai, Kaori Sakakibara, and Taiyo Someya now have nine studio albums, with their latest one titled Dusk to Dawn. While the band gained significant social media attention for their songs, “Yume Utsutsu” and “Autumn in City A,” the band has reiterated their commitment to making music for self-expression, and not for viral trends or “light listeners.”
The US leg of Lamp’s tour takes the band from Connecticut to New York City in October and November. Tour information can be found here.
