Computer-scientist-turned-musician Arushi Jain brings her mesmerizing, synthesizer-based soundscapes to five venues in the U.S. this summer. Having grown up in Delhi, Jain moved to the Bay Area for college and is currently based in Brooklyn. Through sonic explorations that refract ragas from Indian classical music through a contemporary lens, Jain investigates the liminal feeling of being caught between two cultures. Her latest album, Delight, captures an effervescent yearning through pulsating rhythms and ethereal vocal layers. Her work has been featured on Pitchfork, Bandcamp, Boiler Room, Ableton, Resident Advisor, FACT, Crack, DJMag, and more.
